What is deforestation?
Deforestation is the clearance of trees to use for another purpose.

Why is deforestation dangerous for the environment?
It give a lot of bad effects to the animal habitats.

How can we prevent deforestation from happening?
We need to control ourselves.

How could deforestation effect our life?
They will affect our life by the increase of temperature with not reducing carbon dioxide, so they cover the atmosphere and confine all the heat energy.

What is your organization doing to prevent deforestation?
Actually our team is separated from deforestation organization, but our main topic "Climate change" is related to deforestation.
The interview took about an hour, and we could get all the answers of our questions. In the interview, we learnt about the weather and how it can be affected from deforestation, which are connected to our well-being. With less trees, the weather will be hotter, since there would be more carbon dioxide and greenhouse gasses roaming. If the weather is to hot, it could result in heat stroke.

How does adopting an orangutan work?
Symbolically adopt an orangutan, and the BOSF foundation will take care of it, while we the adoptive parents, will give the parental fees for them to be taken care of.
Who takes care of the orangutan?
If we adopt an orangutan, are we allowed to name it ourselves? No, we aren’t allowed to name the orangutans ourselves, since it’s hard to name an orangutan and only specific people can name the orangutans.
Do the orangutans get released when they are ready?
Yes, of course. Each orangutan gets a school course, kind of like us humans.
Why orangutan is important to us?
The orangutans kind of like to eat the seeds and then “poop” the seeds out to basically plant them again and each orangutan can cover about 10km max. They basically also take care of the rainforest, so it’s a bit easier for us to take care of the orangutans since the rainforests are really big
What is your organization doing to make reforestation happen?
They plant trees as part of the program, and we could also donate to plant the trees. And they also take care of the orangutans who basically take care of the rainforest.
Are you guys only helping the orangutans?
Are you helping other animals too? The BOSF only takes care of the Bornean orangutans.
Why are you guys helping the orangutans?
They are the reason why we have fresh air since they are the ones who take care of them.
How did you guys find the orangutans?
The BOSF company doesn’t have the right to just take an orangutan. When someone alerts that there is an orangutan that’s lost, they will have to contact the government and the government confiscates the orangutans and check them medically.
What are you doing to help the orangutans?
The BOSF foundation has the reintroduction, then monitoring, so they put a “tracker” on the back of their neck/skin so they could keep track of them. Unfortunately, some of the orangutans aren’t allowed to be released since they each have different medical problems to make them hard to survive alone, so they have to live in a manmade home.
How long does an orangutan live?
8-9 years until it will be released to the wild.
Where do people keep the orangutans?
In east Kalimantan and central Kalimantan.
