Reflection
​Week 1
During this week, we thought of the SGD we were going to do as well as our topic. The topic we picked was "Heat Waves." We also started to make the first part of the blog, finding pictures for the front page. But, before that we thought of our central idea and lines of inquiry. Our central idea is "Climate change can lead to destruction." We were communicators and discussed to each other on what our Lines of Inquiry and Central Idea were going to be like.
​Week 2
This week we got our mentors. The mentors we got are Ms. Ratu and Mr. Jeff. We also got our lines of inquiry and central idea approved by Ms. Richel. We only changed the central idea that Ms. Richel corrected. The IB Learner profile we used is knowledgeable because we learned what we needed to correct for the Central idea.
​Week 3
During this week, we started on working on our homepage and the About Us page in our blog. Ms. Ratu helped us with the About Us page and Mr. Jeff asked what we have done so far. Kianna, Kenzie, and Sung woo didn’t take that long doing the About Us but Eugene and Jamie took a bit longer. Ms. Ratu also asked us to turn the lines of inquiry into questions.
​Week 4
During this week, we made some logos and finished our survey. We also changed our topic from heat waves to deforestation. We added some parts to our blog. We found some sites for research as well. We have not started doing research yet, even though we have some sites. During this week, we have changed our group name from Climate Solution to Oxygenerators, since our group's name did not fit our new topic, deforestation.
​Week 5
This week we did our persuasive texts and interviewed Mr. Siswanto from BMKG Indonesia. We divided the persuasive writing into 2 groups. The groups were Kianna and Kenzie, Sung woo and Eugene. Jamie was doing it herself because she is decent enough in writing. Kianna, Kenzie, and Jamie finished but Sung woo and Eugene did not finish this week. Mr. Siswanto gave us more information on deforestation. At the end, we gave him questions to answer. He answered all of our questions very well and we wrote them down in our notes. We lost almost all of our information, but we are trying to get our information back.
​Week 6
​ This week was a very good and productive week. we almost finished our blog and need only 3 pages left. we also discussed the price of our candle's and agreed to start selling next week. we finished our About Us, Research page, Issue, and IB learner profile page. we also started our References page. Sung woo still haven't finished the persuasive text but he is working on it. we also started making the Supporters page. In the supporters page we put our mentors Ms. Ratu, Mr. Jeff, and Mr. Freitz.
​Week 7
During this week, Sung woo and Jamie finished our blog, while Kianna, Kenzie and Eugene have been focusing on advertising to other grades. Sung woo made an "in process" photos for our blog, in our unfinished pages. We raised about a million this week.
​Week 8
​ During week 8, we progressed a lot. We finished our planner page, started selling candles, raised money, and even had a meeting with our principal, Mr. Peter. Eugene and Sung Woo have not finished their persuasive text. This week we also added the planner and survey page. We planned to sell brownies, yet we canceled that idea since Mr. Peter said not to. Kianna, Kenzie and Eugene have been mostly focusing on the candles, while Jamie and Sung Woo have helped but focused more on polishing the blog. We also have finished the IB Learner Profiles and ATL Skills.
​Week 9
During this week, we finished the integration of subjects, persuasive text, planner, etc. We started selling hand sanitizer and advertised to grade 11. We chose the orangutan to donate, and finished most of our blog pages as well. The IB learner profile attributes presented this week were thinkers, because we tried to solve problems in our blog. For ATL skills, it was thinking skills, because we increased our critical thinking skill, creative thinking skills, etc. It was a great week.
​Week 10
​ This was our last week. During this week, we finally published our blog. Sung Woo and Eugene finished their persuasive writing. Jamie and Sung Woo stayed in the 7th floor while Kianna, Eugene and Kenzie did the advertising for our new candles and hand sanitizers. We also did the pre-recorded video. Mr. Freitz said that we had a lot of problems in the grammar presented, so Sung Woo and Jamie focused on fixing that this week. We also practiced for our final presentation.
